Barbara Darenel and Groot Gregory attended the Newton Cabot School's Invention Invasion. The Invention Invasion invites elementary students explore science through invention. Each individual or group is asked to a hands-on invention or experiment and a poster to explain the scientific principles that make the invention or experiment work.
The NES/OSA attended as an exhibitor showing various optical principles using our Optics Suitcases. Demonstrations included our Giant Kaleadieoscope, Jello Optics, Flourecsence and other experiments with refraction and reflection. Several students and parents stopped at our table to see optics in action. We were pleased at how interactive our demonstrations turned out to be for all.
