Description:
Seeking a talented and self-motivated Additive Manufacturing process engineer to fully execute the printing process using Seurat’s proprietary technology. The ideal candidate demonstrates a comprehensive capability to conduct the entire printing operation including, but not limited to: preparing printing files from CAD model, configuring the printer, operating the printer to print parts, and post-processing printed parts.
Job Duties:

Use proprietary or commercial software such as Materialise Magics to generate data files for 3D printing (additive manufacturing).

Configure and operate sophisticated industrial material processing equipment.

Conduct system and subsystem level DVT (design verification tests) and generate a test report.

Conduct DOE (design of experiment) and generate a test report.

Conduct the metrology measurement of mechanical parts.

Understand mechanical design principles, be able to generate drawings using CAD software such as Solidworks, be able to read mechanical part and assembly drawings.

Conduct basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Required:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Experience with commercial additive manufacturing data preparation software (Materialise Magics, NetFabb, nTopology, etc.).

Solid background in mechanical engineering and metal materials processing.

Experience in operating sophisticated industrial equipment.

Experience in fabricating components using Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) methods.

Experience in L-PBF (laser powder bed fusion) process.

Experience in commonly used metal (ferrous and nonferrous) materials.

Must also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Education/Experience:
Required:
-
B.S. or M.S. in engineering (mechanical engineering is preferred).

5+ years since experience in engineering and/or manufacturing-related field
Travel:
The expectation is up to 15%
